First British-built Honda Jazz comes off production line

News brought to you by Sytner Group, specialists in new Honda cars and the UK's leading retailer of prestige vehicles.

The first new Honda Jazz to have been built in Britain has rolled off the production line in Swindon.

According to Honda, the Jazz model is one of its most successful in Europe with more than 70,000 sold in the region every year.

"We see this third model as a wonderful opportunity in the current climate and we're extremely proud to be building the Jazz here in Swindon," commented David Hodgetts, director at Honda of the UK Manufacturing in Swindon (HUM).

HUM will now build 20,000 units of new Honda Jazz and 75 per cent of these are set for the UK market.
The other 25 per cent are to be shipped to 55 countries across the world, including destinations outside Europe.

Last month, it emerged that the new Honda CR-Z Concept 2009 is to be shown at the Tokyo Motor Show.

The production version of the model is set to go on sale in the UK in the summer of 2010.
